After (apparently) not doing very much for a long time we will finally be releasing Something New later this month.
It contains music we have done with Anna Blessman and Peter Saville for their Swing Project 1 exhibition.
This vinyl 12 inch + CD EP combo also called Swing includes mixes by the fantastic Factory Floor.
The original idea for the music was that it should give the impression that some sort of European Techno party was going on in a nearby room. So that while wandering around the show you would be enticed by this non existent dance floor.
That was the theory anyway and its why bits on the 12 inch may sound like they are being played next door, it was a “Concept” . You can listen to the 2 tracks on the Soundcloud player and see for yourself.
As this is a Soundtrack thing it doesn’t feature much of what may pass for singing (although Gillian has been vocalising on other stuff which, with a bit of luck will be out before too long)

New releases from The O2? I’m so excited!
I must see if I can import this. I live in Canada but I work in a record store so hopefully I can get hooked up.
P.S. I’ve listened to both of the tracks you have up for preview and I like them a lot. I was sad that I’d never get to see the exhibition but this will do nicely!

Yeeeeaas! New music from O2,its great to have Gillian working again weve missed her so much, she is an integral part of the music we all love…keep it up guys, bring on the new album!

Ok, so I’ve had some to digest Swing, & I love it. Swing Robot & Swing Inside are my two fav’s (both similar – granted) but they spin my wheels – so there you have it.
Been a keen & loyal follower of JD/NO et all since 1980, &, well – I just have to say – you two are (without doubt) creating the most original & inspiring music these days (in my humble opinion).
