Summer’s Here
Hi There
Sorry it’s been a while since we updated the site,it was beginning to suffer from the internet equivalent of tumbleweed.
So here is some information to accompany the tracks on the site.(better late than never)
Satisfied was the B side of the Love To Infinity 12 inch remix of Innocence.It only ever got released properly in America although I think we did try giving it away in the UK without much success-Oh well
Cold Feet was the original soundtrack version of the track found on Superhighways
Common As Muck is the soundtrack version of New Horizons from Superhighways and was of course the theme tune from the TV show of the same name.
Culver’s Edge was a thing we did for Common As Muck that later got turned into the song The River from Superhighways, it was a bit of “an old dustman achieves victory in a kind of Sergio Leone Style” piece I found quite moving.
Jonno and Sean another Common As Muck bit this was for a “burglary goes a bit wrong” scene.We thought it didn’t sound too bad after all this time.
You Can Fly-Quake Vocal Mix is a now hard to find,if it was ever easy to find,remix.
Sawdust is a bit of an odd one.It started life as one of a bunch of remixes Moby did of Movin’ On from The Other Two And You.The idea was what would it sound like if Kraftwerk (or someone like them) ever pursued a career in Country and Western? The record company on hearing the remix thought that there was vaguest whiff of a HIT about it but more work was needed. So more work we did. It never got released as Gillian,very wisely,refused to sing with a pig under her arm. We never did get to Nashville.
Autosound don’t know quite what went wrong with this one as it very nearly became a song on Superhighways,it had lyrics and everything even an alternative title which was The End Of The World. We must have got bored of it or something-that can happen
Meanwhile work continues on new stuff and also on listening through lots of various mystery tapes,you know the ones that have become orphaned from their boxes with no indication of what they might contain.
We’ll post some of the more interesting finds up here shortly.

Cool stuff – thanks for the MP3s. Psyched to hear you’re working on new stuff – but release this one in America, please. Most I ever paid for a CD was $35 for a copy of Superhighways. Ouch. Man’s gotta eat.

Great stuff all round and good to hear new stuff is on the way. Any chance of some of the Making Out music showing up on the website?

Thanx for the info; the remasters turned up to be GREAT! We’re all looking forward for new stuff. You guys wouldn’t have any (O²? NO?) demos on your vault of old tapes, would ya? (-;
Best Regards!

One last thing, happy birthday Gillian! Regards from France
